Hackmanite 9 tail fox

A beautiful nine-tailed fox carving made from natural hackmanite — a fascinating mineral known for its colour-changing properties. Under UV light, hackmanite can glow in vibrant shades of pink, orange, purple or red, revealing a completely different side to the stone.
Even more interestingly, hackmanite is tenebrescent, meaning its colour can change when exposed to UV and then gradually fade back when the light source is removed.
This unique carving combines the magic of the mythical nine-tailed fox with one of nature’s most intriguing minerals — a gorgeous piece to enjoy in daylight and an extra-special one to discover under UV.
Please note that the 9 tail has a small chip on the end of one tail. Please refer to the close up photo. This imperfection been reflected in the price reduction. 
 
The fox weighs 352g and measures approximately  14cm long and 9.5cm tall.
